About us

Claypenny Properties is a reputable family owned and managed business, formed in 1994 that over the years has gained experience in the provision of student accommodation.

Claypenny Properties now provides accommodation to over 550 Sheffield students in over 100 properties. This success has been possible through commitment to the student market, a high level of service, the wide range of facilities we offer and the reputation we have earned due to the genuine level of care that we offer to our customers.

Our office is located on the corner of Ecclesall Road and Collegiate Crescent, outside the entrance to the Sheffield Hallam University (Collegiate campus), making it easy for our tenants to visit us.

We offer a choice of student houses and flats that can accommodate from 1 to 20+ people. The vast majority of our Sheffield properties are in the S11/ Ecclesall Road area, but we also have properties in S10/ Broomhall, S10/ Crookesmoor and S2/ City Centre areas.

As property owners we take great pride in ensuring that all our Sheffield properties receive the level of investment needed to maintain our high standards and consequently we have a continuous rolling program of refurbishment to keep pace with modern standards and student requirements.

By listening to, and understanding the needs of students, we have adapted our houses with specific emphasis on safety, security, comfort and energy efficiency.

Our level of service is taken very seriously and as a consequence we employ a team of dedicated and experienced professional tradesmen including plumbers, electricians and handymen.  Most of them have been with us since the early beginnings of the company and understand the importance of a prompt and efficient response to any problems that may arise.

Our properties are furnished and decorated in a modern and contemporary style and updated on a regular basis.
Each property complies with the following;

  • The landlords gas safety register, certified annually.
  • A NICEIC Electrical Certificate.
  • Conformity to the requirements of the Furniture & Furnishings.  (Fire Safety) Regulations 1998.
